Finally!

You may have noticed that this post does not begin, "Entry from..."  That's because I am making it up right here in front of a computer -- what an odd idea!  Until my Corps Members come on the 24th, I will be working along in the West Monitor Barn trying to get everything read for them so I actually have some time to sit down in front of a computer and put some good effort into this Blog for once.
However, not much has happened since last night...

Except that we finally got our project assignments!  Click on this link to see some of the details of our first project that will take up the first 3 weeks of the summer.  The project that we will be completing over the last 4 weeks is still in the works but I do know that it will be around the Royalton, VT area -- maybe an hour or two from this first project.  Until then, enjoy the map and enjoy the coming posts all about Pre-Program Week!

  1. Thanks for the the project description and map links. Hardwick is a nice place to be in the summer!

I am teaching down at VLS in Royalton at the moment, so I am curious as to where your project will be located.

  2. Walt,

If you are curious about the details of our Hardwick projects, I have updated the project map and site descriptions (just click on the link in this post). As for the Royalton projects, I, too and curious about them (I only recently learned that they will be further north of Royalton, more toward the Braintree/Brookfield area). Our sponsor for the project, who works for the DEC, and some of the VYCC's Operations Staff will be bringing me out to Brookfield sometime during our stay in Hardwick to take a look at the those sites. As for now, I only know we will still be working with the DEC and White River Partnership completing more erosion control and Clean and Clear projects.

    I will keep you updated!
